Question 1

How does the CTL-200 activate without a button?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 uses patent-pending MALTS™ (Motion Activated Laser Targeting System) technology. It reads the firearm's motion and orientation: the laser comes on as you raise the gun to a firing position and goes off when the gun is pointed down, pointed up or turned to the side. No buttons, no switches, no fumbling.

Question 2

What's the difference between the CTL-200 and a standard laser sight?

Accepted Answer

Every other laser sight on the market requires you to press a button, flip a switch, or grip a pressure pad to activate. Under stress, fine motor skills degrade, that manual step becomes a failure point. The CTL-200 is the only motion-activated option. It's on when you need it, off when you don't. No thought required.

Question 3

Why green instead of red?

Accepted Answer

Green lasers (520nm) are approximately 4x more visible to the human eye than red lasers in daylight conditions. The human eye is most sensitive to green wavelengths. In bright outdoor environments, ranges, fields, hunting scenarios, a red laser can be nearly invisible. The CTL-200's green laser is clearly visible in virtually all lighting conditions.

Question 4

How long does the battery last?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 gives hours of active use on a full charge and months on standby. In sleep mode (weapon holstered or set down) it draws very little power. A full charge over USB-C takes about 2 hours, and the LED shows green while it charges.

Question 5

Is the CTL-200 water-resistant?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 is water-resistant and rated for splash and rain exposure. It is not rated for submersion and should not be immersed in water. Whether you're running drills in the rain, hunting in wet conditions, or playing paintball in the mud, the CTL-200 is built to perform.

Question 6

What rail systems does the CTL-200 fit?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 easily mounts to Picatinny and Weaver rail systems using the included adapters. Both adapter cleats are included in the box. It fits most handguns, rifles, carbines, shotguns, paintball markers, airsoft guns, and crossbows with a standard rail.

Question 7

What is the current price of the CTL-200?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 is $249 with free shipping included on all orders. The package includes the CTL-200 unit, Picatinny rail adapter, Weaver rail adapter, USB-C charging cable, quick-start guide, and warranty registration card.

Question 8

What does the 3-year limited warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 is backed by a 3-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This includes the activation electronics, laser module, housing, and charging port. Normal wear, physical damage from misuse, battery degradation over time, and water damage beyond the rated spec are not covered. Question 9

Is the CTL-200 legal to own and use?

Accepted Answer

The CTL-200 is legal for civilian ownership in all 50 US states. It is a Class IIIa (3R) laser device, which is the same classification as most commercial laser pointers and laser sights. Always follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm accessories and laser devices.

Question 10

How far away can I see the CTL-200 dot?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the light. The green dot is easiest to see indoors and in low light, and harder to pick up in bright sun as the distance grows. The CTL-200 is a Class IIIa green laser (520 nm, 5 mW or less).
